Biography

Ethan is from Stamford, CT and earned his B.S in Chemistry from Emory University in 2023. At Emory University, he worked in Dr. Dennis Liotta's Research Group in which he conducted research for his honors thesis on the Synthesis of Tenofovir Conjugate Prodrugs to Treat Hepatitis B Virus/Human Immunodeficiency Virus. Additionally, he spent a summer at Arvinas where he researched PROTAC synthesis using the Ni-electrocatalytic Csp3-Csp3 doubly decarboxylative coupling reaction. (Anticipated research project) In the Pomerantz Group, he will be using Protein-Observed Fluorine NMR to develop new Cereblon ligands for the development of PROTACs. In his free time, he enjoys writing and performing stand up comedy, playing board games, and reading comic books.
