Chun-Ju Tsou

Biography

Chun-Ju grew up in Taiwan and earned her B.S. in chemistry at National Tsing Hua University in 2017. She did her undergraduate research under Prof. Chun-Cheng Lin to study enzymatic synthesis of oligosaccharides. After graduating, she worked with Dr. Yane-Shih Wang in the Institute of Biological Chemistry, Academia Sinica, where she focused on developing a metalloenzyme using protein engineering. Before coming to the US, she was hired by Dr. Todd Lowary to set up his lab in Taiwan while moving his group from Canada, she also did some enzymatic synthesis and N-glycan extraction during that year. Chun-Ju joined Pomerantz group in 2021 spring and she will be working on BPTF inhibitor synthesis. In her free time, she enjoys jogging, hiking and playing guitar.
